Privacy Policy
Summary
Canopydew does not require an account and does not include advertising, third-party analytics, tracking, or a developer-operated network service. The app is designed to work offline.
Data stored on your device
Greenhouse-zone names, crop context, hourly climate entries, generic planning bands, sensor records, calibration dates, operating events, notes, and app preferences are stored locally in the app's private container. This information is used only to provide planning, calculation, review, persistence, import, and export features.
Files you select
Canopydew reads a JSON or CSV file only after you select it with Apple's document picker. The developer does not receive the file. Access to the selected external file ends when the import finishes.
Photos, location, camera, microphone, contacts, and sensors
Canopydew does not request access to Photos, precise location, the camera, microphone, contacts, Bluetooth, Health data, Home data, or greenhouse sensors. Altitude is an optional value you enter manually; the app does not read device location.
Exports
When you choose an export, Canopydew creates the selected PDF, JSON, or CSV files and presents the standard iOS share sheet. The app does not transmit those files on its own. A destination you choose, such as Files or Mail, handles the exported information under that destination's privacy practices.
External method links
Canopydew includes optional links to FAO, Cornell University, and Penn State Extension resources. A link opens only after you select it. Those websites receive ordinary browser requests under their own privacy practices; Canopydew does not send your project data with the request.
Data collection
The developer does not receive, collect, sell, or use greenhouse plans from the app. Apple may process App Store purchase, crash, and diagnostic information under Apple's own policies and your device settings.
Deleting data
Delete individual zones in Canopydew, reset the sample library from the app, or delete Canopydew from the device to remove its local app container. Files you previously exported must be removed from their saved destinations separately.
Children
Canopydew is a technical planning and recordkeeping tool. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
Changes
If the app's data practices change, this policy will be updated before the changed behavior is released.
